What is Yogalates?
Yogalates Melbourne is run by qualifed yogalates instructor Janice who has been trained by world renowned yogalates instructors. With a passion for yoga exercise and pilates Janice found that Yogalates was the perfect for yoga and pilates enthusiasts. More a yoga than a pilates, a yogalates class takes you through a range of relaxation techniques, stretches and core strenghtening exercises that give you a complete body mind workout.

Yoga + Pilates = Yogalates

Like yoga and pilates, Yogalates works on the integration of mind, body and a complete focus on breath.  It emphasizes the importance of utilizing the stabilising muscles of the body while in movement thereby creating a very safe and strong form of exercise. At Yogalates Melbourne we run classes for beginners right through to intermediate and advanced classes for the more experienced yoga student.

Yogalates is a movement system that is strenuous and safe where you stretch and strengthen all the major muscle groups and deeper postural muscles developing slenderness rather than bulk creating a streamline shape.  It enhances posture, based on the balance of muscle tone and awareness, teaching you the fundamentals of functional movement learning to isolate your muscle groups, then working the body as a whole.

Yogalates takes all the important breathing, relaxation, meditation and stretching and combines it with core strengthening exercises from pilates to form an exercise class that leaves you feeling and looking fantastic, inside and out.

With consistent practice, Yogalates helps you to acquire comfortable body alignment, good posture and fitness.  Yogalates is a perfect exercise system for everyone and every 'body'.
